Donor Story

Springfield Grocery Outlet did it again!

For the third year, our neighborhood store has designated Catholic Community Services’ Springfield Food Pantry as its recipient of groceries donated during the month of July’s “Independence from Hunger Campaign.” This campaign gives shoppers an opportunity to purchase high-need items in a pre-made bag filled with an assortment of groceries, or make a cash donation at the register that goes directly to help clients of Catholic Community Services of Lane County.

This year they added a new reason to give!  For every donation (bag or cash) over $5, a $5 off coupon was automatically generated at the bottom of the receipt and donors were entered in a raffle to win two tickets to the Oregon season-opening football game on September 2nd.  What a fun way to give back to those in need right here in Springfield!

Each year, the results are more & more generous!  Thank you to all customers who participated by giving food and/or cash to help those struggling to make ends meet.  This truly is a community event and we couldn't be more proud to call YOU our neighbors.
