1) Family Support Worker

Work with at-risk families to identify barriers to stability, assess family strengths and offer advocacy and support. BA/ BS preferred, but relevant experience and education may be combined to qualify.

Experience/education must demonstrate knowledge of a home visitation model for family interactions, the dynamics of client-centered case management, and an awareness of local resources. Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency required.

2) Enhanced Visitation Specialist
(posted July 23, 2010)

May be combined with other agency positions if qualified.  Work with families who have a current return home plan for children in foster care.  Monitor visits between the parent(s) and child(ren) to assess the strengths and challenges of the parenting relationship, and relay information about these visits to DHS /CW staff in a concise and professional manner. 

Strong knowledge of child development, age-appropriate discipline, and positive parenting techniques.  

Must have demonstrated experience in these areas:  ability to assess and code parent / child interactions, training and experience with the parameters of reporting suspected Child Abuse, and excellent communication skills also required.

Bachelor’s degree preferred, but experience and education may be combined to qualify.
