JUNE

World Refugee Day hosted by RRCLC
June 20th & 23rd
Two Locations: First United Methodist Church on June 20th and Eugene Public Library on June 23rd

The Refugee Resettlement Coalition of Lane County (RRCLC) and CCS present World Refugee Day on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 and Saturday, June 23, 2018. Events are free and open to the public. 

June 20th, Wed., 5pm-8pm at First United Methodist Church 1376 Olive St.
There will be a model refugee tent, "Now I Am Your Neighbor," relief kits, A3 High School student projects, refugee center architectural model, traditional desserts, food carts, storytelling, and dancing! Guest speaker: Award-winning photojournalist Paul Jeffrey – The Face of Migration

June 23rd, Sat., 4pm-5pm at the Eugene Public Library, 100 W. 10th Ave.
Guest speaker: Writer, researcher, & advocate Tod Schneider – Living in Limbo: Syrian Refugees Trapped in Greece


SEPTEMBER

Great Hour of Caring Breakfast
September 26, 8am-9am
Location: Hilton Eugene

Join us for an inspiring and free one-hour breakfast to learn more about the mission and work of CCS. The goal of the event is to raise funds for our CCS programs and services. Private donations are a critical piece of support that helps CSS empower families to take positive steps to move out of poverty. Limited seating. Reservations required.
 


DECEMBER

Christmas Social

Location: CCS Service Center in Eugene and Springfield

We open our doors each year (on the final day before Christmas that we are open) to spread some holiday cheer to our neighbors in need. Coffee, hot cocoa and cookies are served, and small gifts such as hats, scarves and books are beautifully wrapped and ready to share. Great event for the kiddos!
 


JANUARY

Annual CCS Anniversary Mass

Location: Rotates to a new Catholic parish each year
 
 


MARCH

St. Patrick's Day Party with the Irish Echo
March 17, 5pm-until it ends!
Location: Marist Catholic High School Activity Center

Marist Catholic High School’s Project Starfish hosts a St. Patrick's Day Party with local music group Irish Echo. All proceeds go toward the CCS G Street OASIS Program, a collaborative project to provide daytime relief to homeless families with children.   
 


APRIL

Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner and Bingo!

Location: St. Mary Catholic Church Parish Hall

Each year we host an appreciation event for our dedicated volunteers. This is a casual and fun evening in honor of those who give their time and energy to help us serve over 30,000 people each year. CCS volunteers, donors and staff are welcome to attend.

MAY

Carl's Jr. Day
May 24, ALL DAY LONG, date TBD

Location: Carl's Jr. at 3032 Gateway St. in Springfield

We have been blessed to have Joe and Cathleen Karcher (owners of Carl's Jr.) support each year by hosting our annual CCS Carl's Jr. Day!  100% of all sales at Carl's Jr. on Gateway in Springfield are be donated to Catholic Community Services of Lane County on that day. Thank you Joe & Cathleen!
