SPRINGFIELD AND EUGENE COMMUNITY SERVICE CENTERS

The Community Service Centers are where basic human needs are met. Shelter, food boxes, access to public transportation, rent and utility assistance, advocacy, information and referrals are administered through staff at these sites.

Connected to each Community Service Center is a Food Room where approximately 40% of all food boxes are distributed in Lane County. Each site provides food to1,000 families each month. We also serve those who are homeless and those who do not speak English. CCSLC is the single largest distributor of food to the public in Lane County.

The CCS Shelters currently have a total of nine units available for families on an emergency basis for up to 60 days. The shelters are located in both Eugene and Springfield. Shelter spaces are available by accessing a community-wide central waiting list (541-689-7156).

In the fall of 2009, the Eugene Community Service Center is expected to move to a larger location on 6th Street in the Whitaker neighborhood. To read more, click here
