About the event
Refugees are not a world away. Over 30 Afghans have resettled in Lane County since 2021. Torn from their country in a crisis, today they are our neighbors, friends, and colleagues. Come hear their incredible stories at a film screening, panel discussion, and Q&A session. Help us celebrate thier arrival with Afghan food, music, and more.
World Refugee Day is an international day designated by the United Nations to honor refugees around the globe and celebrate the strength and courage of people who have been forced to flee their home country to escape conflict and persecution.
