Christmas is a special, magical time for young children, so we try to focus on them. That said, we also know that stress of parents drastically affects the entire household, so we try to alleviate some of that stress by examining the entire family situation and finding creative ways to help each family stabilize and improve. The families we serve are going through very difficult times and could use a little Christmas spirit to shine their way. The “Family Needs & Wish List” you will receive as a sponsor is simply a guide. If there are larger, more costly items on the list, please consider donating used items in good condition. All donations are tax-deductible.
Catholic Community Services runs its annual Winter Clothing Drive from mid-January until the end of February (although we gladly accept donations year-round). Usable winter clothing items collected will be distributed free of charge to homeless and low-income persons seeking help at our community service centers in Eugene and Springfield.
Join us for an inspiring and free one-hour breakfast to learn more about the mission and work of CCS. The goal of the event is to raise funds for our CCS programs and services. Private donations are a critical piece of support that helps CSS empower families to take positive steps to move out of poverty.
Help your neighbors stay squeaky clean!
Cleaning products for bodies and homes become expensive when a family is living on a limited budget.
Catholic Community Services' annual Squeaky Clean Hygiene Drive runs every year during the month of June. This is a great opportunity for the community to provide practical help to those who need it most and have their donated items given directly to those in need. Collected items will be distributed free of charge to our neighbors in need seeking help at our community service centers in Eugene and Springfield.
