G Street OASIS

A day program for homeless families in Springfield

The G Street OASIS, located at 1175 G St., is a collaborative project to provide homeless families with children priority access to a coordinated set of services offered at multiple locations within the immediate G Street neighborhood of Springfield. The participating organizations function as a campus, with all services within easy walking distance. 

Hours of operation: Monday-Friday 9am to 3pm

  • Safe place to be during the day

  • Access to laundry, showers, and restroom facilities

  • Place to prepare and eat simple meals

  • Help finding affordable housing

  • Help with job seeking

  • Access to other school and community based resources

  • Head Start of Lane County

  • Springfield School District: Brattain House, Native American Education Center, Two Rivers/Dos Rios Elementary School, and Springfield High School

  • Springfield Shelter Rights Alliance

  • Willamalane Park and Recreation District

Volunteers Needed!

If you’re interested in volunteering in this program, please complete and submit a volunteer application. Most shifts are either 9am to noon or noon to 3pm Monday through Friday. 

G Street OASIS Wish List

Many items are needed to keep this program running successfully. We are always accepting the following items for homeless families in this program. If you are able, please consider donating. All donations can be dropped off at the Springfield Catholic Community Service Center (details below) in the main office. Just tell the staff it’s for G Street!

  • Laundry Soap pods

  • Household Cleaning Products

  • Personal Hygiene Products (shampoos, kid-friendly shampoo, body soaps, conditioners, lotions, etc.)

  • Diapers (all sizes, specifically 3-6) & unscented baby wipes

  • Feminine Hygiene Products (top need: tampons)

  • Razors and Shaving Cream

  • Warm blankets, sheets and sleeping bags

  • Reusable shopping bags

Drop-off Location

Drop-off donations at the CCS Springfield Community Service Center
1025 G Street, Springfield  (on the corner of 10th & G Street)
Monday – Friday 9am to 4:30pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm
