URGENT FOOD APPEAL
$500,000 NEEDED
As the largest distributor of no-cost food in Lane County, Catholic Community Services is the primary safety net preventing widespread hunger. But right now, our food pantry shelves are being stretched to the limit:
-
Demand for the basic need of food has doubled since 2022, with over 38,000 food boxes distributed last fiscal year - a 110% increase.
-
Food insecurity in Lane County has risen from 10% to 14% in recent years.
-
Rising grocery prices and shrinking food resources mean our supplies are running out.
We need your support now to avert a hunger catastrophe when SNAP benefits vanish on November 1st and beyond.
Every $1 you give will be used to stock our shelves with nutritious, shelf-stable foods to feed those most in need in the difficult weeks and months ahead.
Our hearts are filled with gratitude for your support.
Thank you!
