Fr. Greg Boyle

Father Gregory Boyle, SJ, is the founder of Homeboy Industries in Los Angeles, the world’s largest gang intervention, rehabilitation, and re-entry program. A Jesuit priest, Fr. Boyle established Homeboy Industries in 1988 after witnessing the devastating impact of gang violence in his Boyle Heights parish. Guided by the belief that every person deserves dignity, compassion, and a second chance, Homeboy Industries has helped thousands of former gang members transform their lives through employment, education, counseling, and support services. Fr. Boyle is the bestselling author of Tattoos on the Heart and several other acclaimed books, and has received numerous honors, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom, for his lifelong commitment to healing communities through kinship and compassion.
