Current Federal Situation

The administration's new immigration policies have created unprecedented uncertainty in refugee and immigrant services. While we consult with the U.S. Council of Catholic Bishops for guidance as they seek clarity from the administration, vulnerable families cannot wait for bureaucratic resolutions.

While these policy changes have created uncertainty, RISP remains fully committed to supporting all our community members. The potential postponement of refugee arrivals—including two families previously scheduled to reach Eugene—represents challenges we are actively working to overcome. Our dedicated team is implementing contingency plans to ensure continuous support for all current and future clients.

Our local immigrant neighbors may feel increased concern during this transition, which is why we're strengthening, not reducing, our support services.
