RISP + ORCAS

As part of our commitment to empower newcomers and build a stronger, more diverse, and inclusive community we are excited to introduce ORCAS-a new initiative designed to support refugee youth in Lane County.

ORCAS (OREGON REFUGEE CHILDREN ASSISTANCE SERVICES)

Supports the academic success and integration of eligible refugee youth in Lane County. The program works with public schools and refugee families to ensure students have access to the specialized services they need to thrive.

ORCAS focuses on three key areas:

Improving support systems for refugee youth

Helping families navigate the U.S. education system

Strengthening schools' capacity to serve refugee students through training and collaboration
