Making a Difference

Updated: May 1, 2025

In Lane County, Oregon, there is a non-profit organization that stands out for its exceptional work in serving the community - offering a variety of essential services to those in need. CCS is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of individuals and families facing challenges such as food insecurity, housing crises, and other pressing needs.

One of our key initiatives is food security and basic needs, which includes food pantries and a clothing closet. These resources play a crucial role in helping individuals and families access nutritious food and essential items to meet their basic needs.

Additionally, CCS offers rent and energy assistance to help prevent homelessness and ensure that individuals can remain safely housed. Families experiencing homelessness can find support at our OASIS daytime drop-in center, which offers a safe and welcoming space for rest and connection.

Additionally, rapid rehousing services are available to help individuals and families secure stable housing quickly, reducing the trauma of homelessness. Emergency shelter is also provided for those experiencing homelessness, along with wrap-around case management services to support long-term stability.

Recognizing the unique challenges faced by refugees and immigrants our Refugee & Immigrant Services Program (RISP) provides culturally sensitive support and assistance, helping our new neighbors navigate the transition to a new country and build a brighter future.

To continue its impactful work, the CCS relies on the support of the community. By increasing major donations, promoting fundraisers, and raising awareness about our services, the organization can expand its reach and make an even greater difference in the lives of those it serves.

Through its dedication to compassion and service, the Catholic Community Services of Lane County is a shining example of how non-profit organizations can positively impact their communities. With a wide range of services aimed at addressing diverse needs, the organization plays a vital role in supporting vulnerable individuals and families in Lane County.
